engineering probability & statistics I

 

the objective of this course is to provide students with an understanding of the fundamental concepts of probability theory included in descriptive statistics, conditional probability, random variables, discrete probability distributions, continuous probability distributions, bivariate probability distributions, random sampling, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing.  students will develop an understanding of the role of probability theory in engineering.  this course will also provide an understanding of the processes by which real-life problems are analyzed through probability theory.
