Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME) 1) The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Wichita State University is seeking candidates for an opening in a tenure-eligible position at the assistant or associate professor level. Applications are sought in the area of Mechanical Design. Preference is given to candidates that have expertise in one or more of the following areas: machine design, mechanical systems, finite element analysis, biomechanics, micro-mechanical systems, design theory and methodology, or reliability and failure prevention. The position requires: a B.S. and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering; good written and oral communication skills; and successful experience with diverse populations. [Top] Department of Aerospace Engineering (AE) Faculty Positions In Solid Mechanics & StructuresTenure eligible positions with specialization in solid mechanics and structures are available in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Wichita State University. The open positions are at the assistant or associate professor rank with responsibilities that include both teaching and research. Applicants must have a doctorate in aerospace engineering, engineering mechanics or a related engineering discipline, a record of publication, appropriate communication skills, and a demonstrated commitment to diversity.
